One of the most important things effecting high school seniors when applying for college admission, is their GPA. Texas ranks number 8 of the top 10 states with the highest GPA. The high school Texans average GPA of 3.35, which is a B+ average grade. But with that good news , comes some not so good new, the state’s average SAT score is below the national average of 1060. Texas has a very good high school graduation rate; it’s the fifth-highest rate nationwide and the second-highest on this list.
