The shooting at a Waffle House in Nashville, Tennessee has much heart heavy in the community after the death of four innocent people. James Shaw Jr. was able to wrestle the gun away from the shooter to prevent more lives from being loss but the pain of the incident is still fresh.

Kenny Smoov from WQQK-FM and 92Q Nashville fills us in on what’s been going on in the town including the condition of Shereida Henderson a program director at the station who got shot and lost her friend in this horrific incident.

“She’s tough, she’s getting better all the prayers are working,” explained Smoov. “We are just glad to know that she’s sitting up, blinking and here with us.”

It’s normal for people to stop at a Waffle House in the South after an event or late night. “There was an event that actually the Deltas had that night,” explained Smoov. “Stopping by the Waffle House like may Southerners do.”

Smoov described Henderson as such a sweet person. “She is this really sweet person that when you’re around her you feel like everything else is okay,” expressed Smoov. “She lights the room up when she walks in.”
