Mission Impossibles actor Ving Rhames says earlier this year he was held at gunpoint by the police at his home. His neighbor called the police when they thought a “big black man” was breaking into his house. Ving says, “I get up, I open the door and there’s a red dot pointed at my face from a 9-millimeter [gun], and they say, ‘Put up your hands.” Ving was thankfully, the officer recognized him and he quickly diffused the potentially violent situation. But he also thankfully his son didn’t open the door.
