It’s the beginning of a new week with more great music tonight on the Summer Mini Concert Series ! At 7 pm we’ll bring you some of your favorites from the former husband and wife duo Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson also known to many as Ashford & Simpson! The duo musical career began in the 1960’s with a gospel group by the name of The Followers. They’ve written and produced many hit songs such as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” which was a two time hit, first by the late Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell and then by Diana Ross! The duo has an extensive catalog of music with total of four certified Gold albums. In August 2011 Ashford passed away in New York City.
