Judge Brett Kavanaugh was busy Thursday defending himself against sexual assault accusations, pulling all the stunts and tricks to squeeze his way onto the Supreme Court. However, he seemed to be channeling another person accused of sexual misconduct — current Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who was accused of harassing Anita Hill during his own confirmation hearing in 1991.

At one point, during Kavanaugh’s opening statement he said, “This is a circus. This confirmation process has become a national disgrace. The Constitution gives the Senate an important role in the confirmation process. But you have replaced advise and consent with search and destroy.”

That line was very similar to one from Clarence Thomas, who said in the same setting on Oct. 11, 1991, “This is a circus. It’s a national disgrace…It is a high-tech lynching for uppity Blacks.” See the receipt below:

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford testified earlier today and was extremely credible. At the start of her testimony, she said, “I am here today not because I want to be. I am terrified. I am here because I believe it is my civic duty to tell you what happened to me while Brett Kavanaugh and I were in high school.” She claimed in the summer of 1982 Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, locked her in a bedroom “got on top” of her, covered her mouth and “grinding his hips” on her. She managed to escape and never mentioned the alleged assault to anyone. Watch Ford describe the assault below:

Sadly, Kavanaugh will more than likely still be confirmed, regardless of Ford passing a lie detector test, something that Kavanaugh has not taken. There hasn’t even been an FBI investigation, which Hill received in 1991.

Make America great again.
