Lifetime has responded to R. Kelly’s ex-wife, Drea Kelly over threats to sue the network over her appearance in the latest trailer for “Surviving R. Kelly Part Two: The Reckoning.” Last week Drea sat down with TMZ to express her frustrations and how she wants to distance herself from the upcoming latest installment of the Surviving R. Kelly series. Drea says that she is confused why the producers for the Surviving R. Kelly II series chose to place footage of her interview from the January documentary into a promo trailer for part two. She believes it confuses audiences, leading them to believe that she will appear in the second installment and she will not be in the new doc-series. Executive producer Brie Miranda Bryant says “she, hope Drea will feel differently after she sees it and “the pieces that were in the trailer are from her interview in part one. She did not sit for Part Two.”
