According to Alfonso Ribeiro, don’t expect Will Smith to reclaim his throne as ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ anytime soon. Where had been rumors of a “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” spinoff series coming from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s production company in 2019, but Alfonso Ribeiro says a reunion’s “never gonna happen.” The hit series ran from 1990-1996 and shot Will into superstardom. Alfonso shut down any speculation they’ll bring it back. By saying “No. They couldn’t do it without Will Smith or James Avery. Will is not coming back to TV, y’all. They can’t pay him, right? That’s never gonna happen. And there is no show without James Avery, he was the anchor to that show,” he added. James Avery, who played Uncle Phil, passed away at the age of 68 in 2013, following complications from open heart surgery.
