According to Alexandra Davis breached her mother Cynthia Davis’ late 1990s million-dollar contract with Jones, according to Jones’ lawsuit.

The Texarkana trial was scheduled to last a week, but the parties reached a settlement 24 hours early sccording to CBS News .

Attorneys brought longtime Jones attorney Don Jack to testify Tuesday about the 1998 settlement.

Charles Babcock, Jones’ attorney, said the emotional testimony softened the parties, leading to Jones, Cynthia Davis, and Alexandra Davis meeting for lunch and making an agreement with their counsel. All past cases will be dismissed, he added.

No paternity test will be necessary for Jones as a result of the new settlement, which keeps the conditions of the original 1998 settlement.

Jones expressed his gratitude to everyone who took part in the trial and acknowledged Davis’s responsibilities as a working mother.

Jones and Cynthia Davis expressed their satisfaction with the agreements and their desire to move on from this matter.

In an interview with CBS News Texas, Jones said that his current priority is getting ready to report to the Cowboys’ training camp in Oxnard, California, maybe as early as Tuesday afternoon.
