Hailing from the city of Cincinnati, Ohio Roger Toutman was determined to make history with the name Zapp when he burst onto the scene in the 1970s. While he’s widely known for helping to increase the popularity of the “talk-box” sound that many today consider “auto-tune,” he and the Zapp Band can also be considered innovators of electronic music we hear today.
He would have turned 66 years old today so tonight LRNB Radio is celebrating the music of Roger Troutman aka Zapp. Here’s a classic video to get you ready for what’s coming at 8 o’clock…it’s all #LoveAndRnB!
