#adayinthelife - You're at work in Culver City, and you get a call w/a same day audition in Hollywood. The role requires a nurses uniform and yours is in Santa Monica. You scramble to find a Uniform Store and locate one in Westwood. Call ahead to reserve the size/color you need and leave work at 2pm. Cars, construction, chaos. Pull up to the store, and there's a woman screaming bloody murder, in the middle of the street, for no apparent reason. Fish for quarters, feed the meter and run inside to frantically change into your new uniform. Quick dressing room selfie, and you're back in traffic. Cars, construction, chaos. Now you're on Melrose Ave. and it's stop and go, because people are snapping random selfies in cute poses and paparazzi are in the middle of the street chasing a celebrity, who you don't recognize, but later learn is #LeonaLewis. You make it to your audition, group up and go inside. Another actor enters and asks if someone would be willing to trade with him, because he's P.A.ing in Malibu and has to be there by 5pm. You can't, because you have to be in Burbank in 45 minutes for the audition you already knew you had today. 5 minutes in the room and now to change. You run to the restroom, but another actor has beat you there. She offers to share, because she only wants to change too. Now you're changing and chatting in a restroom, w/a fellow actor you've only just met. You wish each other luck, and you're back in traffic. Cars, construction, chaos, rehearsing lines. Make it to your second audition, park the car, check in bags and now you're on the lot and in the waiting room w/50 other actors. You wait. And wait. You're called. 2 minutes in the audition room and you're headed off the lot. You chat w/other actors and wish everyone luck. Retrieve your car and you're back in traffic. Cars, construction, chaos. It's after 5pm, its Friday, you're driving from Burbank to Santa Monica and it's a scorcher! Pick up kid. Pick up pizza. Home at 6:45pm. Long, exhausting and exciting day! All other plans cancelled, but you wouldn't change it for the world! 😍😍 #actor #actorslife #auditionlife #grateful #blessed #hollywood #burbank #losangeles #california
