Dallas Wings Reloaded: 2025 WNBA Draft

Dallas Wings welcome 5 brand new players to their roster tonight from the 2025 WNBA Draft. Dallas has reloaded their team and they came with the best picks! Although the Wings finished in 11th place last season, this put them in the position to have the No. 1 pick for this year’s draft.
Starting out at first pick for the draft and for Dallas is Paige Buecker, a guard from UCONN and this years most talked about player! Buecker is a 2025 National Champion, Point Guard of the Year, Most Outstanding Player, and broke a number of records at her time with UCONN.
According to Sports Illustrated, a piece of advice from her former coach Geno Auriemma would give to Dallas coach about Paige is “Be ready for her to challenge you, and you should challenge her.” He continues with. “She’s gonna be a risk taker, and you’re gonna have to live with some of the risks because most times they actually pay off.”
Dallas ended the first round with No. 12 pick Aziaha James, a guard from NC State. James averaged 17.9 points per game, she also broke multiple records at NC state, including her 36 points against Duke making her the most scored player from NC State since 1998.When asked how this group is going to help her and she can also help them James says she can’t wait to experience it , and she cant wait for them to push her around and make her better!
Round 2 Dallas picked up shooting guard Madison Scott from Ole Miss and ended the night in Round 3 No. 2 pick they added another shooting guard, JJ Quinerly from West Virginia and No. 6 Aaronette Vonleh a center from Baylor.
Last year the Wings added 3 players and this year we want to welcome 5 fresh faces to Dallas and congratulate them on their new journey with the Dallas Wings! Their first game will be on May 16 at 6:30pm against Minnesota Lynx here at home at the College Park Center. Welcome Home Wings!
