Toys R Us filed court documents outlining their plans to close to 182 stores as part of their bankruptcy plans. Dallas/Fort Worth has 6 stores on the list to close. The store in Allen at 170 E. Stacy Road, Irving at 7730 N. MacArthur Blvd, Lewisville at 420 E. Round Grove Rd, Dallas Galleria at 13710 Dallas Parkway, Hurst at 1309 W. Pipeline Rd, and Hulen at 5800 Overton Ridge Blvd are all on the list to close. The going-out-of-business sales are scheduled to begin in February and be completed in April. Toy R Us noted that some closings may be avoided if it is able to negotiate more favorable lease terms. But most of the stores listed in the documents are expected to close as Toys R Us tries to reinvent itself as a leaner, smarter retailer.
