For tennis star Venus Williams, size doesn’t matter. As a guest during a panel discussion a theCurvycon in NYC, Friday night. Venus stepped away from the U. S. Open to talk about the growth of plus-size fashion. She says at 6’1, they still come up to her with a smaller size and she has to tell them “I’m a big girl, bring me a size 8/10.” Venus also says “I would love that day when it’s just, this is my size, and you can walk in a store and say, this is my size, and nobody cares, and that size is there.” While the fashion industry might not be there just yet, Venus is heading in the right direction with the launch of her label’s first ever plus-size collection, which she is partnership with Dia&Co.
