RCA/Sony Music has dissolve their working relationship with R. Kelly. The move comes after weeks of backlash in the wake of Lifetime’s documentary “Surviving R. Kelly.” A petition from the members of the #MuteRKelly, who staged protest outside of Sony’s New York and California offices open the door for Sony to part ways with the R&B singer. Reps for both RCA and its parent company, Sony Music declined comment. R. Kelly was informed of the label’s decision to part ways with him last Thursday.
