Traveling to Jamaica allowed for me to test out my adventurous side and try some activities I’d never thought about doing before. Thanks to the folks at Chukka Adventures we were able to zip line over the beautiful Dunn’s River Falls. For those who are afraid of heights, this activity was a great way to conquer that fear. The guides at the fall made sure that we were securely fastened into our harnesses with protective helmets to match. After that we climbed the steps surrounding the large trees on the park grounds and were linked to the ropes. Then it was time to shine, and we glided amongst the tree tops with a spectacular view below.
There were a series of platforms and lines to travel across as well as a few rope bridges. My favorite line was of course the one over the waterfall, which was truly a view that you have to experience for yourself! We all completed the lines and released our inner Tarzan and Jane’s swinging through the trees. This activity would be great for families, especially those with bigger kids. When you visit Jamaica, make sure you venture outside of your hotel and experience all of the dope sites that the island has to offer!
