Former first lady, Michelle Obama & Queen Latifah help induct Missy Elliott into ‘The Songwriters Hall Of Fame.’ Missy became the first female rapper to be inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. She joins JAY-Z and Jermaine Dupri as the only hip-hop artists in the hall. During her induction ceremony, Queen Latifah and former First Lady Michelle Obama spoke about the rapper’s influence, which extends well beyond the boundaries of her own music. Missy was also honored by performances from Lizzo and Da Brat.
