Last night it was all about ‘Black Girls Rock!‘ Hosted by Niecy Nash, the show honored Black women and girls like Ciara, Regina King, H.E.R., and Angela Bassett, who was honored with the Icon Award. Angela accepted the award with an empowering message about how she found her purpose and remained steadfast in fulfilling it, even through adversity. She told the audience refused to take roles or do things that would compromise her integrity.
