A Dallas ISD Elementary School Student Was Discovered With Gun

According to WFAA, DISD confirmed a student at Solar Preparatory School for boys on Friday.

Dallas ISD said the student was found following a tip from another student, and the gun wasn’t in class.

The district says the student is being addressed according to Student Code of Conduct.

Home is where student/school safety begins. it’s Joint responsibility” the district shared. “We need parents to ensure weapons of any kind are locked and safely put away and not accessible to minors.”

There were no threats reported with the gun. The situation is now in DISD Police hands.
