Harold and Jess have been a blended family since getting married 18 months ago. They have two kids of their own ages 4 & 6, and they each have 1 child from past relationships. Jess’ 10-year-old son lives with them and Harold noticed how Jess went all out for her son’s Christmas but didn’t contribute the same towards gifts for their other two kids, and didn’t get anything for his 12-year-old daughter who doesn’t live with them. Harold didn’t say anything on their first Christmas together but wants to address this before it happens again, but he also wonders if it might appear he’s being too petty. Should Harold approach Jess? What advice would you offer?
