In Wylie Texas, four family members were arrested due to the physical injuries and the death of an 11-year-old boy.

On Monday (June 9), paramedics arrived at a home in the 1600 block of Long Meadow Road to an unresponsive child. They attempted to give the young boy CPR and rushed him to the hospital.

Despite their efforts, the child was pronounced dead at the hospital.

As the investigation began, police obtained and issued arrest warrants for those involved. Those individuals include the young boy’s grandfather, aunt, and two cousins – 28- year-old Sadie Hope, 67-year-old Clifford Johnson, 46-year-old Eunice Johnson-Lightsey, and 30- year-old Sade-Hope-Johnson York.

All four suspects were charged with abandoning, endangering and injury to a child.

Investigators expressed that the family members were giving inconsistent stories, which led officers to believe that this could lead to something deeper. The other children, who lived in the home at the time, were removed. Officers and investigators fear the kids witnessed some traumatic things and that this is something they’ll be stuck with for the rest of their lives.
