State Fair Classic Celebrity Golf Tournament Weekend

Radio One Dallas, home to MAJIC 94.5 and 97.9 THE BEAT, opens the State Fair Classic weekend with its 10th Annual Radio One Celebrity Golf Classic, benefiting I Am A Golfer Foundation, on Friday, September 30th. The Cedar Crest Golf Course is rich in history and has hosted The Dallas Open in 1926 and The PGA Championship in 1927. This year’s tournament will be a celebration of the grand re-opening of the historic course. We are honored to celebrate the revitalization of this landmark in South Dallas alongside our yearly tradition. The I Am A Golfer Foundation provides area youth affordable, quality instruction and playing opportunities as well as personal mentorship and character development with a mission of being a catalyst for community renewal and transformation in South Dallas. In partnership with Radio One Dallas, this year’s goal is to raise $10,000 for the foundation and the “I AM” Scholarship.
